Congrats To Ana Maria Markovic For Pulling Off A Christmas Miracle In Early December
I wanted to take a moment and blog about Ana Maria Markovic - who was dubbed the most beautiful soccer player in the world. Won't hear any complaints from me.
But you see this is about more than Ana Maria Markovic. This is about her ability to pull off a fake tree. I've been on record that I'm anti fake tree. Always have been, always will be. Not for me. I understand people in the city need to have fake trees and can't just go get a real tree. I'm talking about people who don't live in the city. People who have the option. I think less of you if you go get a fake tree. You don't get the smell. You don't get the look of a real tree. You don't get the 30 minute infuriating experience of picking out the 'right' tree.
Sure, there are downsides to the real tree. You have to water it, which takes 10-15 seconds a few days. You have sap, which can be cleaned thanks to the weird science of soap and water. You have to deal with people during the transaction of getting said tree. But those cons don't outweigh the pros. Real trees look better. Real trees have the smell. Real trees aren't tacky.
But see this is where the Christmas miracle comes into play. Anyone who sees this blog or this picture of Ana Maria Markovic should immediately be in the Christmas spirit. She didn't do some stuff for the hell of it. Oh no. This is basically blaring Bruce's Santa Claus is Coming to Town, slapping on Home Alone and frustrating the shit out of yourself as you wrap gifts. She did that with a fake tree. The first in human history.
So she deserves this. She deserves the blog. She deserves the trip to her favorite place.
I am a sucker for Christmas. I love everything about it. So thanks Ana Maria for helping spread the word.
